A fatal shooting in Winston-Salem early Saturday morning has left one woman dead and another facing a murder charge.
Police said officers were called to the 1200 block of East 25th Street at 7:19 a.m. When they arrived, they found 28-year-old Breanna Zhane Hunter suffering from a gunshot wound. Hunter was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities confirmed Hunter’s family has been notified of her death.
Investigators identified 31-year-old Troy Latrece Brown as the suspect. Brown has been charged with murder in connection with Hunter’s death.
The case remains under investigation by Winston-Salem police.
