WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police and emergency medical crews responded Friday night to a shooting near Acadia Avenue and Main Street, authorities said.
Officers found an adult male with gunshot wounds to the shoulder and abdomen. He was conscious when first responders arrived and received medical care at the scene before being transported for further treatment. His condition was not released.
Police secured the area, restricted traffic, and began interviewing witnesses. The department has not announced any arrests or identified a suspect.
The investigation continues, and officers are asking anyone with information to contact the Winston-Salem Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
